A short story about how I got access to a magician’s treasured treasures.
In 2019, I was performing at a company event, after which a man approached me.
Of course, there have been occasions before when, after my performances, one or two people have wanted to know the secrets of my tricks or just congratulated me on what they had seen. In this case, however, it wasn’t just a question of praising my show, but an opportunity presented itself.
He told me that 2 years ago a dear friend of his who was also a magician had passed away.
They were very close. Ivan was a friend of the family. They had such a good relationship that the magician spent most of his free time with them. According to the gentleman, they had come to regard him as a grandfather. Naturally, this meant that the adopted grandfather would sometimes play magic tricks on the family members at family gatherings.
After his death, a tiny suitcase full of magic tools was left in the family. The family, not being interested in this art, thought they would donate me the remaining magic tools.

What was in the suitcase?
After receiving the case and learning that Ivan had even studied with Rodolfo, I was eager to see the contents.
I found neatly guided notebooks, drawings and handmade tools.
Of course in hard times when it was not easy to get professional supplies one tried to make his own tools. Hidden in boxes decorated and ornamented according to the times were special charms that showed that they were treasured.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the family for offering me these tools and for thinking that they would be in good hands with me.
