Mummy Mystery
Karl Edler created the first version of the Three Mummies effect around 1902. Karl created many variations and styles of the Three Mummies, and although it is itself a mentalistic effect, it was an early forerunner of the Wandering Mummy effect invented in the 1950s.
Effect: The performer presents a small sarcophagus with three mummies of different colours. He then turns his back and asks the viewer to place a mummy of his choice in the sarcophagus, then closes the lid. He hides the other two mummies from view. The performer then turns around and immediately knows what colour mummy is in the sarcophagus!
