Hokus Pokus Magic Set
What the name Rodolfo meant to us, the name Jochen Zmeck meant in the GDR. A teacher of maths and physics of outstanding ability, he took up magic from 1958 onwards and achieved great success.
Of course, this success did not escape the attention of toy manufacturers, who produced the Hocus Pocus magic box, which taught 60 tricks to magic-savvy children.
The toy was made by Plasticart and Expovita was responsible for supplying the markets of the socialist countries. These company names can be found on the box.
The tricks were varied and in many cases based on the laws of physics, but there were also tricks based on manual dexterity and mathematics in the box.
Plasticart did not skimp on the props. Almost everything a small magician would need was originally in the box. Glasses, marbles, chips, magic cards, rope and of course the inevitable magic wand.
